Overview:Community First is Hiring Engagement Specialist to join our team with our Luxury Memory Care and Assisted Living Facility in Mason Ohio (The Cottage Of Mason)!The Engagement Associate is the face of the campus and must be friendly, professional, and dependable in disposition, and tolerate frequent interruptions with patience and a constantly focused on hospitality. Responsible for greeting and directing all visitors, answering incoming calls, directing calls to the appropriate individual, sorting and distributing mail, and performing a variety of clerical activities and related tasks.Will assist with carrying out programmed activities, which will provide entertainment, intercommunication, exercise, and relaxation. Provides opportunity for residents to express creative talent, and fulfill basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs.Schedule: Part Time- 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday – 15 hours per weekPay: Starts at $14 per hour and goes up based on experience!​WE OFFER FLEXIBILITY & WORK-LIFE BALANCE

Responsibilities:
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere by maintaining an immaculate reception area, refreshment station, and current marketing displays
  • Coordinate visitor management, including sign-in procedures, tour scheduling, and resident transportation
  • Assists in carrying out engagement opportunities within the community as assigned by the Resident Lifestyle Coordinator.
  • Provide leadership and direction of activities such as games, exercise, socials and crafts
  • Assists with maintaining the Activity Participation Tracking record of resident involvement
  • Inform the nursing staff or Director of any unusual behavior of residents
  • Complete accurately and timely all paperwork required by the state
  • Required to attend meetings or training in related areas of the position

Qualifications:Education: High School Graduate or GEDLicenses or other required certifications: Valid state driver’s license and the ability to maintain active auto insurance, certified in CPRExperience: Care experience in a senior housing setting is preferredSpecialized knowledge, skills, or abilities:
  • Proven leadership and organizational qualities
  • Knowledge of progression and care of dementia residents
  • Computer literate and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills in working with residents, employees, families and the public
  • Ability to be flexible, display dedication, sensitivity, patience, honesty, imagination and resourcefulness
  • Ability to multi-task and work in environment of changing demands and frequent interruptions
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends
  • Must be organized and detailed oriented
