Job Description:ResponsibilitiesNoblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), NAWCAD Engineering & Logistics for Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Mission Operations and Integration (MO&I), and their missions’ to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings.Noblis is looking to hire a Technical Publications Writer/Editor to create clear, concise, and accurate documentation that communicates complex technical information to diverse audiences. You will utilize your expertise in writing, editing, and subject matter expertise to produce a variety of technical documents, including user manuals, specifications, training materials, and technical reports. Typical responsibilities include researching and gathering information from subject matter experts, organizing and structuring content to ensure readability and comprehension, and writing and editing documents according to established style guides and standards. Technical writing and editing roles also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and product managers, to understand technical concepts and translate them into user-friendly documentation. Additionally, professionals may conduct reviews and revisions of existing documentation, provide feedback and guidance to authors, and ensure consistency and quality across all documentation outputs. Your expertise in areas such as technical communication, document design, and editing techniques enables organizations to deliver high-quality documentation that enhances user experience, supports product adoption, and meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.This requisition covers multiple positions, including:

Required QualificationsJunior to Mid Level
  • Bachelor's degree English, Journalism, or discipline with a strong focus on writing and/or editing written documents.
  • Requires minimum of three (3) years of experience as a technical writer of military specifications, standards, and technical manuals.
  • Active Secret clearance is required
  • US Citizenship required
  • Salary Range: $47,800 - $90,350
Senior Level
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or discipline with a strong focus on writing and/or editing written documents.
  • Requires minimum of three (3) years of experience as a technical writer of military specifications, standards, and technical manuals.
  • Active Secret clearance is required
  • US Citizenship required
  • Salary Range: $77,000 - $120,275

The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
