- Files and maintains office records and maps.
- Notifies and communicates emergency awareness to local, state, and federal agencies.
- Supports the operation in the maintenance and administration of overtime assignments.
- May answer customer and municipal complaint phone calls and direct to the appropriate department.
- Performs all related administrative tasks.
- Coordinates customer service outage notifications.
- Applies for street opening permits and generates paving details in conjunction with local ordinance requirements.
- Receives, unloads, ships, loads, and disburses materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Knowledge of customer service and ability to handle customer contacts courteously and with respect.
- Familiarity with PA One-Call System helpful.
- Proficient in different types of computer applications necessary to complete assigned work.
- Must have basic geographical knowledge of company's service area and working knowledge of company policies, procedures and safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to operate company equipment and vehicles necessary for completion of assigned responsibilities.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Will be required to take and pass the appropriate state certification examination for Class E Water Distribution License within 24 months, and apply for certification within 6 months of achieving the minimum experience requirement for certification.
- If not already met the minimum experience requirement upon passing the certification test.
- Wednesday-Friday 12:00pm-8:00pm
- Saturday-Sunday 7:30am-3:30pm
- Position may be subject to mandatory off hours call-out and overtime.
