- will supervise technical work execution, quality, cost, schedule, continuous improvement and lessons learned.
- will Ensure EB practices, means and methods are taught and employed during performance of the work and will be active in guiding and mentoring.
- must have the ability to set, assign, and measure daily production goals, provide technical expertise, instruct, mentor and motivate crew.
- must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher.
- must possess strong leadership and analytical, causal analysis, communication, organizational, planning, and writing skills under minimal supervision.
- will have the ability to use NAVSEA/SP ships drawings, technical manuals, ship system manuals and various other documents in the performance of this task is a must.
- Knowledge of SP/SSP's, MDP's/MDD's, SI's, SDD's, and DI's is a plus.
- Must be able to qualify and maintain Respiratory Protection certification.
- Must be able to qualify and maintain Fall Arrest Protection certification.
- Must be able to qualify and maintain Lifting & Handling / Industrial Trucks certification.
- Must be able to qualify and maintain the EB Heavy Metals Program requirements.
- Must be able to qualify and maintain VT 3.10 qualification.
- Must be able to pass a proficiency exam during interview process.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years working in an industrial marine environment
- Minimum 3 years of structural shipyard construction experience in shipfitting, welding, and fabrication
- Proficient in blueprint and drawing interpretation
- Ability to use NAVSEA/SP ships drawings, technical manuals, ship system manuals and various other documents in the performance of this task
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, Cornerstone, ERS/EWP, MRPII, and Microsoft Outlook
- Must be available to work all shifts, split shift, including extended hours and weekends as business needs dictate
- 5+ years supervisory experience
- Prefer VT 3.10 qualification, or have the ability and knowledge to obtain qual
- Welding, NDT, Electrical, RADCON, and QA experience in maritime environment
- Experience with Ship’s Drawings, SSPs, SPs, MDDs, Technical Manuals, Welding Technique Sheets, EWP, ERS, ERs, NDT, DIs, and Sis
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, Cornerstone, ERS/EWP, MRPII, and Microsoft Outlook are necessary to successfully perform this assignment.
