Our new opportunity invites a seasoned Human Resources Generalist to join our team, serving as a cornerstone in our daily operations.In this role, you'll play a vital part in the seamless administration of our Human Resources functions. From talent acquisition to onboarding, benefits administration, and nurturing positive employee relations, you'll be at the heart of our people-centric approach.The ideal candidate will have a progressive, hands-on, and well-rounded background in Human Resources, with prior experience working within family-owned or privately held companies and proven success with overseeing multi-location operations. If you have the ability and talent to create strong stakeholder and employee relationships, facilitate training, seamlessly oversee benefits, and leave administration, and have been successful at building and maintaining policies and procedures in a fast-paced environment, this is the opportunity for you.Essential Duties and responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and support the Human Resources Director in all day to day internal and external HR-related matters for five (5) locations
  • Administers and explains benefits to employees, serves as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
  • Coordinate and owns the recruitment process by identifying candidates, interviews, conducting required pre-employment procedures, issuing offers of employment and the entire onboarding process.
  • Respond to employee inquires to ensure providing prompt responses to build brand loyalty
  • Manage the new hire and open enrollment benefits process. Audit benefits enrollment and monthly benefits invoices for accuracy.
  • Support management with employee relations concerns, questions, training and performance development plans for continued growth and retention of staff.
  • Maintain and update employee personnel files, internal documentation and HRIS and payroll records systems
  • Complete investigations into employee and management concerns
  • Manages leave of absence and FMLA administration
  • Support the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company
Education and Experience Desired:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field of study
  • 5-7 years’ previous experience in human resources; ideally as a generalist
  • Previous experience working in an expanding multi-franchise dealer group experience desired.
  • Previous working experience for a family-owned or privately held business preferred.
  • Strong, successful direct administration of human resources processes and procedures
  • The ability to form and maintain strong internal relationships with employees and key stakeholders
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Excellent record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to practice a high level of confidentiality and trust
  • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Superb computer literacy with MS Office and other forms of technology. Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus.
  • Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills. The knowledge to escalate concerns when necessary
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Society Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP) certification highly desired.
