
Hil Test Engineer

- Design, develop, and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test systems for autonomous vehicle platforms.
- Create, design, write, and maintain test scripts and automation tools using Python and C++.
- Integrate vehicle ECUs, sensors, and actuators into HIL systems.
- Collaborate with technicians to set up and troubleshoot hardware configurations.
- Work closely with software engineers to validate embedded systems and control algorithms.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed feedback to development teams.
- Maintain documentation for test setups, procedures, and processes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HIL testing, automotive hardware development, and embedded systems.
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for test automation and system integration.
- Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Hands-on experience with automotive hardware – able to plug in, wire, and configure systems.
- Familiarity with tools such as dSPACE, NI VeriStand, Vector CANoe, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience in autonomous vehicle systems or ADAS.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Familiarity with safety standards.
