As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be at the center of data strategy and business intelligence at Safety National. In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate with Data Architects, Engineers, and BI Analysts to develop scalable data assets aligned with evolving business needs. You'll transform complex business problems into actionable data solutions, using your advanced SQL and Power BI skills to build meaningful insights. With an emphasis on mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement, you’ll help evolve data strategies and coach team members to grow their analytical capabilities. Bachelor’s degree is required, or the candidate must meet alternative experience and certification criteria.Required Qualifications:
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT or related field.
  • Advanced Power BI expertise, including dashboard development, administration, workspace management, and deployment within Power BI Service
  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server and relational database design
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional/technical documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable operating in a team-based, highly collaborative environment
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or AWS
  • Experience with self-service BI platforms
  • Familiarity with data governance tools like Alation
  • Background in insurance or a related industry
  • Experience supporting Agile methodologies, with SAFe framework knowledge
