ResponsibilitiesSurface Maintenance and Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP) provides centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management. SURFMEPP’s primary mission is to maintain and modernize in-service ships throughout the ship’s expected service life focusing on a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving Class Maintenance Plan (CMP).SURFMEPP’s Maintenance Analyst utilizes Navy maintenance databases (e.g., NMD, 3M, SMDII) to conduct complex analyses and independently develops process improvement recommendations, analytical displays, and metrics to enhance SURFMEPP's planning and execution efforts. The Maintenance Analyst communicates findings and recommendations professionally and effectively to SURFMEPP and Surface Maintenance leadership. Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Interacting with SURFMEPP SMEs to evaluate projects and implement recommendations.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, Flankspeed, and Tableau to analyze and comprehensively display information in support of leadership decision making.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a related filed. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors.
  • 4 - 7 years of relevant professional experience
  • DOD SECRET Security Clearance
  • Proficiency in Navy automated information systems used in surface ship maintenance, such as: M&SWP, VSB, NMD, and NDE
  • Experience in Navy surface ship depot maintenance planning and/or execution
Desired Qualifications
  • Use of MS Office Suite tools with particular focus on intermediate MS Excel skills
  • Drafting and delivering technical presentations
  • Appropriate written and verbal communication skills to interact with U.S. Navy personnel
  • Experience in data analysis and/or Modeling and Simulation

The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours.
