This may include logging, batching, and cutting, mounting, and staining procedures.Job Responsibilities
Perform Histological technical procedures using manual and automated techniques to achieve quality pathology slides for review by pathologist
Providing skilled surgical and medical support to MOHS surgeon with patients' care and safety.
Prepare patients' charts, forms and instruments and equipment needed for surgery
Prepare histological samples, map, and flatten, frozen section samples, staining
Comply with OSHA, CLIA and HIPPA regulations
Perform routine housekeeping duties, keep room and lab stocked with supplies
Organize, file and dispose of all specimens within regulation.
Participate in external and internal proficiency testing

Minimum Qualifications
Science Degree
Prior experience in medical office
Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians
Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding (preferred)
Familiarity with the ModMed EMA EMR (preferred)
Thorough understanding of HIPAA law
Team player
