Responsibilities:The H-E-B Creative Studio captures the look and feel of our brand across video and photography, telling visual stories that connect with our customers and elevate our campaigns. The DP / Videographer role combines technical expertise, creative vision, and adaptability—capturing high-quality motion and still content that is on-brand, strategically aligned, and production-ready.As a DP / Videographer, you will shoot for a variety of needs including broadcast, social, digital, and in-store content, as well as still photography for campaigns, product launches, and editorial. You’ll collaborate closely with creatives, producers, and post-production to plan, capture, and deliver assets that work seamlessly across platforms. What is the work?
Pre-Production & Planning:
  • Partner with creative leads and producers to translate concepts into achievable shot lists and setups
  • Scout locations and recommend equipment, lighting, and camera configurations for each project
  • Collaborate on storyboards and creative treatments to ensure alignment with brand and campaign goals
  • Participate in pre-production activities including tech scouts, storyboarding, and shot planning
  • Translate briefs into visual solutions that reflect campaign strategy and business goals
  • Assist producers and editors with creative input during post-production, when needed
Production & Execution
  • Operate as Director of Photography and camera operator on a wide range of in-house shoots (studio, on-location, retail, social)
  • Lead all aspects of visual capture including lighting design, camera setup, lensing, and scene composition
  • Collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Producers, Stylists, and Editors to align on vision and execution
  • Bring an eye for framing, lighting, and storytelling that elevates brand and product presence
  • Maintain equipment and recommend upgrades and improvements to meet evolving needs
What is your background? 7+ years of experience shooting commercial, editorial, or branded content
  • 7+ years of experience shooting commercial, editorial, or branded content
  • Strong knowledge of digital cinema cameras (e.g., RED, Arri, Sony FX), lighting systems, grip gear, workflows, and audio basics
  • Familiarity with LUTs, color pipelines, and exposure tools
  • Experience working in a commercial studio or agency environment is a plus
  • Proven portfolio of video and still photography work that demonstrates creativity, technical skill, and brand alignment
  • Working knowledge of on-set color management and monitoring tools
  • Comfortable with both studio and location shoots across a variety of conditions and subjects
