Develop and apply optimization, causal inference, and time series modeling techniques to drive operational efficiencies and improve decision-making across Amazon's fulfillment, logistics, and supply chain operationsDesign and implement scalable algorithms and data structures to support complex optimization systemsLeverage statistical methods and machine learning to uncover insights and patterns in large-scale operations dataPrototype and validate new approaches through rigorous experimentation and analysisCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams of researchers, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate research outputs into tangible business impactBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Are enrolled in a PhD in operations research, applied mathematics, theoretical computer science, or equivalent
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum
- Can relocate to where the internship is basedPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in causal modeling like graphical models, causal Bayesian network, potential outcomes, A/B testing, experiments, quasi-experiments, and data science workflows

The base pay for this position ranges from $65.38/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $102.31/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
