Job Description & SummaryBMSS Advisors & CPAs is seeking proactive, detail-oriented Interns for Busy Season or as we call it "Success Season" 2027 (January - April) in all offices.Have you decided between Assurance or Tax?! Interns at BMSS get to experience client work in both disciplines! Our ideal candidate will be in their last semester of their accounting undergrad degree or recently graduated and be available to work at one of our locations during their internship (Birmingham, Huntsville, Gadsden, Mobile, or Ridgeland).BMSS was established in Birmingham in 1991 and has grown to become a top 100 advisory and CPA firm in the U.S. Our services include tax planning, compliance and assurance, merger and acquisition, advisory, wealth management, accounting services, payroll, and IT Support. BMSS strives to give "peace of mind" and believes in providing an exceptional experience to our clients and our employees.What you will be doing:We are happy to work around class schedules but do require a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week during the internship. As an intern you will be getting real life experience with Assurance and Tax work.Skills needed to be successful:
  • Majority of credits completed for a bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college/university.
  • Capability to multi-task and communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members at various levels.
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication.
