Our Programs are typically Rapid Development and Demonstrations of Advanced Integrated Communication Systems in a SWaP-constrained military airborne platform.Job LocationSan Diego, CA, Onsite.Job DescriptionGALT seeks an experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) who will ensure GALT is compliant with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and other relevant agency security requirements and regulations. This position is a direct report to GALT's Chief Operating Officer (COO). The FSO will be responsible for all aspects of GALT's security program including, but not limited to, Industrial Security, Cyber Security, Physical Security, International Security, Investigations & Counterintelligence, Business Analysis & Preparedness, and Special Programs. Ideally, the selected FSO would also have capabilities to perform Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) duties with support from the GALT Information Technology (IT) department. On a daily basis, the FSO will coordinate with GALT's Leadership Team, its customers, and government agencies to ensure compliance with security requirements and regulations.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Create and maintain GALT accounts: Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT), National Industrial Security System (NISS)
  • Coordinate applications for employee security clearances and indoctrination
  • Process GALT visit requests and coordinate visitors
  • Provide recurring and as required training for physical security, cyber security, foreign travel preparation, classified material handling, insider threat, and other security related areas
  • Manage GALT facility clearance authorizations using DoD Contract Security Classification Specification (DD Form 254), and process DD Form 254 specifications to GALT subcontractors
  • Develop physical security, classified information storage, and supporting infrastructure plans
  • Maintain Security-In-Depth posture for facility
  • Perform other security related tasks and other tasks as directed by GALT's COO
Required Skills, Experience, and Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • DoD Secret Personnel Security Clearance required (TS desired), with ability to maintain clearance
  • S. Citizenship
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience, preferably as an FSO
  • Knowledge of 32 CFR 117 NISPOM Rule
  • Knowledge of COMSEC concepts and methods
  • Experience in developing solutions to problems of unusual complexity
  • Proven positive relationships with government agencies
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education
  • Coursework in Industrial Security, Criminal Justice, Business, or related field
  • Completion of CDSE FSO (Possessing) course of instruction
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills related to physical security, information security, access and visitor control security issues
  • Advanced training in Insider Threat
  • Experience performing and interpreting vulnerability assessments
  • Experience administering the operations of a security infrastructure
  • Ability to perform as ISSM (preferred but not required)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Ability to be productive in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to plan, schedule and arrange activities in accomplishing objectives
  • Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and work well under pressure
Physical Requirements
  • Person in this position needs to occasionally move about the facility
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
Pay ScaleAt GALT Aerospace, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role.
