This drives our passion for providing evidenced-based outpatient and inpatient psychiatric treatment programs with successful outcomes.For more information, please visit us atPOSITION SUMMARYFairfax is looking for a Part time Night Shift Patient Access Coordinator to join our Intake team. (Fri, Sat, Sun)The Patient Access Coordinator (PAC) is primarily responsible for answering and appropriately managing incoming telephone calls; scheduling patient assessments/appointments; creating and updating patient pre-registrations including verification of benefits and financial counseling; setting certain expectations for patients regarding their services, and responding to customers' information needs. The PAC is also cross-trained and utilized as a Hospital Services Representative (HSR), thereby assuming the responsibilities associated with the patient discharge/check-out function. Additionally, the PAC is responsible for performing various administrative and clerical duties required to support these functions and, on an as-needed basis, may be required to perform other tasks.QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.Experience: At least two years working experience in a hospital or Dr. Office setting helpful. Strong background in customer service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Needs to have a general knowledge of patient accounting which includes billing and reimbursement requirements.
