Your role focuses on maximizing equipment efficiency and lifespan while ensuring energy-efficient, safe operations with minimal downtime. You'll perform both preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on building systems, conduct facility inspections, and maintain compliance with all safety regulations and local codes.Your day-to-day tasks will include: • Performing ongoing preventive maintenance and responding to repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other building systems
  • Maintaining, operating, and repairing all HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, and plumbing systems
  • Conducting facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions that impact client occupancy and operations
  • Responding effectively to all building-related emergencies and after-hours activities
  • Preparing and submitting summary reports to management with recommendations for necessary actions
  • Operating building automation systems, fire/life safety systems, and other specialized building equipment
  • Maintaining compliance with State, County, and City ordinances, codes, and laws
  • Ensuring proper safety procedures and housekeeping in all work areas
  • Attending periodic training seminars and supporting operational tasks as assigned
Desired experience and technical skills:Requirements:
  • Universal EPA 608 Certification
  • Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in packaged HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment repair and maintenance
  • Valid state driver's license (must maintain)
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft. ladders
  • Availability to perform on-call duties and overtime as required
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application
  • Experience managing work orders and utilizing CMMS technology
  • Experience working in a service-related role specific to commercial facilities
