WNBC is currently seeking a Promotion Producer who will create, plan, and execute local marketing, branding, social and sales initiatives. This person will be a passionate storyteller responsible for exceptional writing, editing, directing talent, marketing on all platforms, and bringing innovative ideas to the table.Producer Responsibilities:
  • Produce daily topical, image, and social promotion on tight deadlines
  • Write smart, accurate and creative copy across all platforms
  • Support and work closely with News Executive Producers, Weather producers and teams across the station
  • Edit high quality local news promos and campaigns to support our NBC Brand
  • Conceptualize and execute best-in-class creative for NBC4 New York newscasts and franchises- ie: Better Get Baquero; I-Team
  • Direct and manage talent and crews on set and location during image shoots
  • Shoot and record video/audio when needed
  • Oversee projects from pre-production to post-production
  • Cross Department Collaboration with News, Sales, Community/ Public Relations, outside agencies and production vendors on brand campaigns, news promotion, image spots.
  • Supervise/Direct VO recording and audio mix sessions daily
  • Collaborate with VP of Marketing, Creative Director, Telemundo 47 and others to brainstorm script ideas and concepts.
  • Collaborate with designers and production team on all projects
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or related experience
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • A minimum of 1 year of digital content creation for streaming platforms and social media (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook).
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a highly creative fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Background in Journalism, Promotions/ Marketing, Videography, Communications
  • Able to work flexible schedules and shifts, including nights and weekends- THIS IS A TUESDAY- SATURDAY SHIFT
  • Demonstrated self-starter.
  • Be knowledgeable and aware of current events and pop culture
  • Must be up to date with multiplatform trends
  • Understanding of Stream and Social Promotion
  • Proven solid editorial judgment.
  • Proven excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Color correction, editing, music selection and special effects knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Video editing proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premier, After Effects, and Photoshop)
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule, travel, and work overtime with short notice.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have a valid DL and clear driving record.
  • Willing to work in office in NYC
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, Audition)
  • Ability to work with people and build relationships with other departments.
  • Exposure to non-linear editing/shooting
  • Experience with commercial production or copy writing.
Desired Skills:
  • Bilingual in English/ Spanish
  • Production experience with a company and/or news station is a plus
