Webuild (www.webuildstaffing.com) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Industrial Estimator to join a preconstruction team within one of the nations leading industrial contractors.The Industrial Estimator will play a key role in the successful planning and execution of industrial construction projects, with a focus on civil infrastructure, foundations, structural steel, piping, mechanical systems, and surface/ underground mining; preparing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive lump sum, design-build, and time-and-materials cost estimates while working in close coordination with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure all bids reflect client specifications and organizational standards.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within industrial or heavy civil environments. A thorough understanding of construction means and methods, particularly in the areas of underground infrastructure, electrical installations, and steel component fabrication is essential.Core responsibilities will include supporting the successful acquisition of heavy industrial and civil infrastructure projects by reviewing and analyzing project plans, specifications, and technical documents to develop detailed cost estimates; defining scopes of work; identifying labor, material, and equipment needs; soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier proposals; and preparing complete bid packages and quantity takeoffs using industry-standard estimating software. TheEstimator will also participate in project hand-off meetings to facilitate a seamless transition from preconstruction to field execution.As a key member of the project management team, the Industrial Estimator will contribute to ongoing cost tracking, continuous improvement of estimating practices, and the maintenance of current market knowledge across all relevant construction disciplines. This position requires excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
