Senior Aerospace Material PlannerSylmar, CAJoin PPG Aerospace as a Senior Aerospace Material Planner in beautiful Sylmar, CA. In this role you will play an important role as part of the leadership of the team developing the direction and future of the material planning space.You will ensure seamless coordination of materials and resources to meet production timelines and quality standards. If you're passionate about the aerospace industry, apply today to become an essential part of our supply chain team!You will work on-site at our facility in Sylmar, CA and report directly to the Supply Chain and Inventory Management Supervisor.Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the materials planning process through the QAD system to ensure accurate MRP outputs aligned with production schedules and customer demand.
  • Analyze forecasts, production schedules, and inventory data to create effective materials plans that ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Work closely with procurement, production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve material shortages, expedite orders, and address supply chain issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels to optimize stock, reduce costs, and maintain compliance with aerospace standards, including AS9100.
  • Leverage QAD functionalities to track material status, generate reports, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and lead initiatives to address risks related to delays, quality, or capacity constraints.
  • Mentor other planners and drive process improvements to enhance planning accuracy, system usage, and responsiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • High school diploma equivalent (GED) required.
  • Minimum of three (3) or more years of materials planning experience required.
  • Aerospace manufacturing sector experience preferred.
  • ERP / MRP Experience required.
  • Supervisor or team lead experience preferred.
The base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually.
