This role requires strong coding skills, deep technical expertise, and the ability to influence and collaborate across teams. You'll be expected to stay current with the latest AI technologies and architectures, and assist other teams by promoting best practices. Extensive knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS), messaging and data warehouse technologies is essential. You'll collaborate with senior stakeholders and technical leads/architectsto guide key technical decisions and establish enterprise standards. As a Senior Architect, you will create solution architectures and components of Envestnet's next generation platforms, focusing on modern user interfaces, cloud native back-end services and big data processing. Success in this role means strong collaboration, clear communication, and a passion for continuous learning and innovation.Job Responsibilities:
Lead solutions design for industry leading technology that satisfies product demand, including the creation of re-usable design patterns and the management of application and technology lifecycles.
Contribute and help drive the architectural vision and technical roadmap, ensuring consistency with long-term business strategy and technological advancements.
Provide thought leadership in the creation of highly scalable, distributed solutions using cloud-based technologies; Recommend, evaluate and promote the adoption of innovative AI and Cloud technologies.
Design and develop Common components, Frameworks and AI solutions.
Analyze cost, performance, and security in product solutions and/or patterns and recommend improvement for optimization. Ensure alignment of non-functional characteristics of the solution with the security, compliance, and governance.
Collaborate and partner with business domain leads, data scientists, product owners, and other functional leads to deliver world class solutions; Clearly articulate the target technical environment and direction.
Evangelize modernization ideas & concepts to the wider Envestnet engineering community. Create standard common business vocabulary for expressing the flow of data across the ecosystem
Exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor.
Mentor and guide teams with correct choice of technology components.
Ensure all architectures are compliant with engineering standards
Research and maintain knowledge of various engineering disciplines, application methods, and materials.
Guide other application architects and making recommendations or scheduling workshops as required.
Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
10+ years' experience working as a hands-on Architect.
Hands-on, current experience in Java, Springboot, Messaging (Kafka).
Experience architecting and building AI based systems.
Deep knowledge of LLM's, RAG and Agentic architecture.
Deep knowledge of Messaging (Kafka), Caching (Redis) EKS and AWS components.
Knowledge of Microservices, CICD, Docker.
A Fintech background or deep understanding of how financial institutions and products work.
A proven track record of developing, presenting, and implementing robust application architectures that exploit the power and economics of the cloud.

Self-drive, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively to solve problems and move quickly is essential.
