This person will serve as a key contributor to identifying opportunities for improvement and creating solutions to improve our manufacturing operations.Personality and Interest Profile - You may enjoy this role if you:

Accountable for:
  • Leading continuous improvement projects across functions aimed at enhancing product quality, reducing waste, and improving overall safety, productivity and efficiency
  • Troubleshooting in the sheet extrusion, thermoforming, and trimming processes
  • Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting process data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement. This includes troubleshooting machines for defects and other inefficiencies.
  • Ensuring all process improvements and 5S activities comply with safety standards and regulation
  • Coordinating and leading teams and activities including: Gemba Walks, PDCA teams and Kaizen Events and other Lean Manufacturing activities.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, maintenance, and engineering, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of process improvements.
  • Managing small scale continuous improvement projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company goals.
  • Communicating with production team members and tooling designers to suggest potential tooling changes to widen the processing window for a given tool
  • Following good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety
  • Ability to guide fellow team members through complex problems to identify optimal solutions
Minimum Qualifications:
  • This job requires a four-year technical degree
  • Good understanding of statistical analysis methods
  • Basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices
  • Good understanding of 3D Modeling, AUTOCAD, GD&T and fabrication capabilities.
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of standing work
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to frequently lift 15-25 lbs.
  • Occasional repetitious tasks with upper extremities
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to correctly wear and use personal protective equipment
