Occasional travel may be required to the Concord Plant or vendor locations to gather equipment-related information; travel is expected to be minimal.Description:Job Summary:Client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and refining mechanical equipment designs and layouts using advanced CAD tools, ensuring strict adherence to Client Machine Drafting Standards. Your work will directly contribute to optimizing production systems, resolving design challenges, and delivering innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver mechanical equipment designs and layouts using AutoCAD 2023 and Inventor 2023, ensuring compliance with client drafting standards.
- Produce and maintain detailed drawing packages, build packages, machine part lists, illustrations (to support equipment installation), and equipment specifications for production systems.
- Assemble comprehensive machine design packages by reviewing and updating existing packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Redesign mechanical components to reduce installation costs, resolve equipment interferences, and correct design deficiencies.
- Review, redline, and oversee updates to installation documentation and drawings, collaborating with drafting teams to resolve design issues efficiently and to to create and refine equipment models.
- Execute design changes to address equipment or process challenges, ensuring all designs meet functional and performance requirements.
- Perform elementary design calculations (e.g., statics, hydraulics, power transmission) to support both new designs and modifications of existing systems.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and project managers to ensure designs meet project goals and customer expectations.
- Provide detailed sketches and marked-up drawings to address evolving project needs.
- Participate in remote planning and design work, collaborating virtually with project teams
- Proficiency with AutoCAD 2023, Inventor 2023 for creating, updating, and managing detailed design drawings and 3D models, and related CAD software tools.
- Illustration for Equipment Design
- In-depth understanding of mechanical drive trains, electrical and pneumatic actuators, and system integration.
- Expertise in preparing complete drawing packages, from assembly to detailed drawings, for industrial equipment.
- Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and experience interpreting pneumatic and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including machining and fabrication, to ensure efficient and practical designs.
- Planning and design work
- Proficiency with AutoCAD 2023, Inventor 2023, and related CAD software tools.

- Associate's degree (AAS) in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a Bachelor's degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
