For additional information on remote work at Penn State, see .POSITION SPECIFICS​The is seeking applicants for a full-time Student Advocacy Specialist to join their team of educators empowering the Penn State community with the knowledge and skills for a lifetime of financial well-being. This position will work with key stakeholders at University Park, Commonwealth Campuses, and Graduate campuses to ensure that financial literacy resources are accessible to the entire community. Successful candidates should have a background in education, student advocacy, or student affairs and the ability to build strong collaborative relationships with campus colleagues.In collaboration with staff, the successful candidate should expect to contribute to the following:Develop, coordinate, present, and evaluate a wide variety of financial education programs, including individual coaching, webinars, presentations and workshopsServe as a unit liaison, cultivate and maintain relationships with university partnersAnalyze program outcomes and prepare reportsPlan and coordinate marketing for educational programs and servicesIdentify, recruit, train, and supervise instructional program student personnelOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by the directorAdditional Qualifications:Education and/or experience in consumer finance, education, social work, or counseling is preferred.Strong communication (verbal and written), problem-solving, organizational, and computer skillsExperience presenting to small and large groups virtually and in personAbility to be innovative and adaptableAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively on tasksMINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneAdditional Position Information:This position will be hybrid with 2-3 days remote work a week and 2-3 days based at University Park campus.BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.Penn State does not sponsor or take over sponsorship of a staff employment Visa.
