- Review assigned work functions for the entire week and the next day.
- Set up room according to instructions.
- Assure all requested AV equipment is in place and working.
- Check all china, glassware, silverware and linen items are in place for the event.
- Assure proper atmosphere; lights, temperature and music are set and maintained for our guests.
- Assure all rooms are cleared and broken down; items should be stored properly after each function.
- Reset after breakdown.
- Assist with food serving and dishing if necessary.
- For buffets, help run food and stock food to ensure sufficient food is available.
- Assure proper breakdown of food tables and storage of food.
- Adhere to written management schedule as written and requested by general manager / food and beverage manager / catering and sales manager / event coordinator.
- Help maintain the teamwork environment and cooperate fully with others.
- Assure service standards.
- Maintain at all times a neat, clean, organized work area that is presentable to guests.
- Follow proper sanitation, hygiene and safety procedures.
- Responsible for the proper handling of all items, including china, glassware, silverware, linen and props, ensuring proper storage after use.
- Recommend proper maintenance and repair to the general manager / food and beverage manager / catering and sales manager / event coordinator and ensure the proper housekeeping of all function space. Assist with reporting and processing all claims for workman’s compensation within 24 hours.
- Ensure a harassment and hostile-free environment.

- No prior experience is required.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must possess basic computational ability.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities.
- Must be able to read banquet event orders and interpret diagrams.
- Most work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors. Temperature and weather can vary.
- Walking and standing are required the majority of the working day. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and inspection tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
