This is a key leadership role within University Advancement, reporting directly to the Vice President. The incumbent builds and leads a results-focused alumni engagement team with a leadership style that encourages confidence and promotes an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit among the team. Cultivates a global alumni community that feels informed about and connected to Lander through every stage of life. Responsible for growing the alumni donor pipeline and personally securing major gifts. Leads the collection, tracking, and analysis of fundraising performance metrics to reach established goals for alumni support; and segments alumni data, crafts engagement strategies, and creates customized proposals to align specific donor interests with strategic imperatives.Bachelor's degree and five years of supervisory experience in a non-profit/higher education environment. Advanced knowledge of principles and procedures pertaining to professional fund-raising activities. Strong knowledge of alumni relations and annual fundraising programs, as well as segmentation tactics and benchmarking/data analysis. Demonstrated track record of successfully managing competing priorities. Valid driver's license, safe driving history required. Entrepreneurial spirit, strong ethics in providing excellent customer service.Curiosity, positive attitude, and energy to implement new strategies and meet ambitious goals. Ability to relate alumni and development programs to university goals and objectives. Advanced knowledge and/or prior use of Raiser's Edge or CRM equivalent. Ability to evaluate existing programs and recommend new activities, policies, or procedures. Ability to establish good working relationships with alumni, donors, students, businesses and the general public.
