- Care services are for a double-client case (wife & husband), totaling 40 hours every week (weekdays) + 15 hours of OT every other weekend.
- This role can be filled in a few ways. Please specify which you are interested in when applying:
- 1 Aide: Full-Time weekdays + 15hrs OT every other weekend
- 2 Aides: one Full-Time (weekdays) and one Part-Time (every other weekend)
- 2 Aides: both Part-Time
- Schedule is for 40 hours on weekdays (M-F, daytime) + 15 hours every other weekend. Exact hours per day are flexible.
- Must be comfortable with friendly dogs and client smoking.
- Must have at least 1 year of paid experience with a Home Health Agency or as an Independent Provider/Direct Care Worker.
- Clients have a nice, safe home.
- Home Health and/or equivalent LTC / Housekeeping / Homemaker skills required.
- CNA or STNA credentials are highly desirable, but HCN will train experienced, non-certified home health caregivers committed to building a career with our agency!
- Starting Pay is based on certifications, experience, work history and attendance, client coverage, and overall fit.

- 1+ years of paid home health/homemaking experience.
- STNAs and CNAs preferred; however, non-certified aides with 1+ years of experience and a commitment to building a caregiver career with our agency will be considered.
- Successful completion of a formal certification training program and/or a written skills test and competency evaluation.
- Meet the training and/or certification requirements of the state in which the home health aide services are being provided. This includes specifications of contracted agencies for which services are being provided.
- CPR and First Aid Certifications required (or can be obtained prior to hire date through our agency or accredited third parties).
- Desirable character traits: reliable, honest beyond reproach, professional, compassionate, detail-oriented (in care + documentation), accountable, friendly and accommodating, respectful.
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care.
- Good interpersonal skills and a passion for caring for those in need.
- Current driver's license/ID and reliable transportation is required.
- Must be comfortable with friendly dogs and client smoking.

- Assists in the patient in taking medications under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. This includes opening a container or pill caddy & handing it to the patient, but does not include administration of the medications.
- Knows and follows infection control policies, including proper hand washing techniques.
- Reports any observed or reported changes in the client's condition and/or needs to the Registered Nurse.
- Documents care provided and completes the forms required for the client's records. Completes the appropriate records to document cares given and pertinent observations.
- Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients by observing infection control practices, following agency guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the Supervisor/Case Manager.
- Demonstrates safe practice in the use of equipment. Does not use equipment until orientation has been provided. Notifies supervisor of educational needs.
- Communicates effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team through verbal reports, participation in staff meetings, and team conferences, as requested.
- Treats patients and families with respect. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Accepts and fulfills assignments with the agency. Exercise good judgment in accepting assignments.
- Participates in required in-service programs to meet compliance requirements. Identifies learning needs to agency supervisor.
