Local manufacturer specializing in plastic and composite product production is looking for an experienced QA inspector to join their team in Buffalo, NY!!2nd shift hours 2:30pm-11pm, will train on 1st shiftPay varies based on experience - $22-24/hrPease reply with resume for immediate consideration!!Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process parts, and finished goods using hand tools, gauges, and measurement equipment.
  • Review products for visual defects, dimensional accuracy, and functional performance.
  • Document inspection findings accurately, including non-conformances and deviations.
  • Complete and maintain inspection reports, checklists, and quality records.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes (CAPA).
  • Monitor production processes for adherence to quality standards.
  • Communicate quality issues to supervisors, engineers, and production teams.
  • Support internal and external quality audits.
  • Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated and properly maintained.
  • Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection or a related field
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Forklift certification (or ability to become certified) is required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems
  • Experience with non-conformance tracking and CAPA
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) or other quality tools
