There is never a dull moment on this strategic effort, a cornerstone for the nation's security. The Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will completely replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, an undertaking not performed in over 50 years. This program is considered a “mega-project” and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. BAE is looking for an experienced System Engineer/Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering team in support of the Sentinel Support Equipment Section Program Manager. As part of a close-knit team, you'll acquire and integrate support equipment for the next-generation ICBM, collaborating with the government customer and Sentinel Prime Contractor to review and assess design, documentation, and architectures. You'll provide advice to Sentinel leaders and support ICBM Missile Operators, Maintainers, and Security Forces throughout the acquisition cycle, utilizing Earned Value Management, Agile, and MBSE best practices. Strong task management and delegation skills are essential, as you'll ensure team deadlines are met and peer review engineering work executed by the section's engineers, contributing to their accountability.Who You Are
