The job duties include; but are not limited to; (1) design, development and implementation of manufacturing processes, and special tooling / equipment (2) creation and maintenance of detailed work instructions, (3) manufacturing production floor support required to assemble and test a variety of military missiles (4) develop and implement root cause and corrective / preventative actions.The role requires the ability to:Interpret engineering requirements from product data drawings, parts lists, specifications and schematics.Conduct detailed failure analysis to determine root cause and implement the corrective / preventative actions.Demonstrate a high level of mechanical hands-on abilities to perform or assist in missile assembly & test along with repairing nonoperating tools and equipment.Basic QualificationsDegree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline at the Bachelor level or above.Knowledgeable of General Manufacturing Processes with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Must be able to work all schedules / shifts (first shift, night shift, and weekend schedule).Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting. Additionally, the candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations.
