Job Title: Account Payable SpecialistPay range depending on experience $21-23 hourly
Must have 2-3+ years of recent verifiable stable A/P experience (experience from a Manufacturing or distribution company is highly preferred)Drug test and background check requiredThis is in office (NOT remote or Hybrid)The accounts payable specialist helps keep that system running smoothly by managing the data entry, paying vendors and suppliers. We are searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our AP team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The AP specialist will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping on track and on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.If you have strong data entry skills, knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to take initiative, you may be a good candidate for the Accounts Payable role.OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE:Support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systemsStrengthening and growing relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely paymentsAssist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable processExercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reportingComply with national and local financial regulationsESSENTIAL RESPONSABILITIES:Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to paymentReview invoice coding and communicate via email to the building managersPerform invoice and general-ledger data entryExecute credit cards reconciliationMatch the checks to invoices and prepare vendor checks for mailingResponsible for the accurate filing of all accounts payable invoicesAssist with year-end 1099-MISC preparation, if neededFollow-up on vendor and inter-office inquiries as instructed by the accounts payable supervisorAssist senior financial officers as neededREQUIRES SKILLS-ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONSAssociate degrees or bachelor’s preferred. 2-3 years professional experience with AP cycle.Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeepingSuperb time management skills and detail orientationStrong mathematical skillsExperience with accounting software and online platformsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsComputer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office with a concentration in ExcelConformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behaviorSoft SkillsGood team player and problem-solving attitude, precision, attention to the detailsGood ability to manage priorities and deadlinesDemonstrated ability to analyze, consolidate & interpret financial dataStrong analytical and organizational skillsSkilled at managing multiple priorities and relationshipsDisclaimerThe preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates within this classification.
