Position SummaryBryant University's College of Business seeks a dynamic scholar-practitioner to shape the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders. Building on Bryant's national reputation for innovation, the successful candidate will:
  • Contribute strongly to a forward-thinking Entrepreneurship program that integrates classroom excellence with hands-on, venture-creation experiences.
  • Serve as faculty liaison to the new Center for Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking (https://www.bryant.edu/discover-bryant/centers-and-institutes/center-entrepreneurship-and-design-thinking) located in the Business, Entrepreneurship & Leadership Center (BELC) and collaborate closely with the Director of Makerspace & Design Thinking, to embed prototyping, design-thinking, and experiential learning into coursework and co-curricular activities.
  • Foster and cultivate collaboration with external constituents for the benefit of the program
  • Mentor students and faculty pursuing entrepreneurial research or ventures, and advise the Bryant chapter of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization (CEO).
  • Contribute to a culture of interdisciplinary innovation across campus, partnering with faculty in data science, health sciences, and the liberal arts.

Principal Accountabilities * Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship, innovation, and new-venture management, with the flexibility to develop new courses that leverage the Makerspace.
  • Curriculum Development: Infuse design-thinking, rapid prototyping, lean-startup methodologies, and AI throughout the entrepreneurship curriculum.
  • Research: Conduct and publish high-quality scholarship in entrepreneurship or related fields consistent with AACSB standards.
  • Service & Leadership:
  • Provide strategic guidance for the continued development of the Makerspace Center and CoB initiatives.
  • Mentor students on venture projects, competitions, and incubator programs
  • Contribute to departmental, college, and university committees and initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, or a closely related discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution (ABD considered with expected completion by August 2026).
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching, an emerging or established research record, and active engagement with the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Evidence of successful mentoring of students or junior faculty and experience with startup ventures or innovation-driven organizations.
  • Experience-or a clearly articulated vision-for integrating makerspace resources, design-thinking pedagogy, and interdisciplinary collaboration into entrepreneurship education.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and advancing Bryant University's mission of educating and inspiring students to conquer complex challenges.
  • Creation or participation in a venture creation is an added advantage
