- Open and maintain deposit accounts, assist with loan applications, and issue new or replacement debit cards while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Provide support for routine account maintenance, debit card issues, and a wide range of customer banking needs.
- Capture and update customer profiles with key life events, goals, and financial needs to strengthen relationships.
- Conduct proactive follow-up with new and existing customers to deepen relationships and identify opportunities.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all electronic banking services and assist customers in their use.
- Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other financial transactions while verifying identification, endorsements, and account information.
- Evaluate and place holds on uncollected funds in accordance with bank policies.
- Balance cash drawer daily, report discrepancies, and resolve outages in collaboration with branch management.
- Issue cashier’s checks, process wire transfers, and support additional branch services such as bank-by-mail and night deposit.
- Assist with currency transaction reporting and suspicious activity monitoring in compliance with BSA/AML requirements.
- Maintain and balance ATM operations; prepare and verify cash shipments and vault cash under dual control.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of standard banking systems, Microsoft Office applications, and branch equipment.
- Stay informed on bank products, services, and industry trends while remaining aware of competitive activity.
- Consistently deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions to enhance service and strengthen relationships.
- Duties may vary by branch location, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed..
- High school diploma required; additional education preferred.
- Previous customer service experience required, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, build rapport, and develop trust.
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Action-oriented with a positive, professional, and innovative approach.
- Adaptable and willing to embrace change; eager to learn new skills and processes.
- Able to remain calm and professional under pressure while handling multiple responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions and resolve customer issues quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with banking technology and systems.
