- Reporting to Manager of Rates & Tariffs, this position involves preparation/compilation of tariff filings and economic analysis of a pipeline’s costs, revenues, and volumes. Preference given to individuals with FERC natural gas cost of service experience.
- Participates in the preparation, compilation, and review of information necessary to complete timely responses to data requests from regulatory agencies.
- Assists in the preparation of fuel, rate, and revenue-type data and associated exhibits for all applicable FERC tariff and certificate filings
- Assists in the preparation of analyses that track financial performance, including items such as shipper revenues and company expenses, for each of Boardwalk’s FERC-regulated entities.
- Assists in creating and maintaining internal models, systems, and information.
- Analyzes and communicates applicable regulatory agency regulations and statutes to internal departments.
- Participates in strategic discussions regarding the need to file or revise rates and tariffs.
- Develops and maintains general working knowledge of other pipelines’ rate, certificate, and tariff filings.
- Participates in or completes special projects, as assigned.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with logical thought processes, ability to define and discern key aspects of complex problems and to develop workable solutions.
- Excellent ability to speak and write in a clear and concise manner.
- Good organizational skills, ability to successfully perform multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to succeed with minimal direct supervision. May be required to work non-traditional hours.
- Must be flexible, dependable, and extremely detail oriented.
- Ability to interact and work effectively with multi-discipline teams.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Up to 10 years directly related Regulatory and/or Rates experience.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate natural gas and oil/liquids pipeline regulations and ratemaking.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Accounting or Finance)
