Industrial Designer

• Rapid development of product designs incorporating manufacturing, ergonomic, and branding considerations/constraints.
• Multi-project prioritization with regular upward management communication of progress and timelines.
• Execute on goals, objectives, and project plans in line with business unit goals and customer needs.
• Design and execute hands-on creation of 3D prototypes utilizing rapid prototyping: 3D printing, foam, paper board, clay, steel, cast materials, etc, to communicate form and function.
• Contribute ideas on new products, product improvements, and design processes.
• Regularly review project plans, schedules, expenditures, and priorities to ensure goals are being met.
• Regularly interface with engineering, marketing, and product management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design required
• 2-5 years experience in Industrial Design required
• A design portfolio must be submitted for consideration

• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Flexibility to meet changing project demands
• Knowledge and experience with ethnographic research practices preferred
• An interest in problem solving and incorporating user needs into new product solutions

• 3D modeling proficiency: Fusion 360 or Solidworks preferred
• Rendering / sketching software: Adobe Suite, Procreate, KeyShot, Sketchbook Pro
• Foundational knowledge of engineering / manufacturing
