
Industrial Designer

- Rapid development of product designs incorporating manufacturing, ergonomic, and branding considerations/constraints.
- Multi-project prioritization with regular upward management communication of progress and timelines.
- Execute on goals, objectives, and project plans in line with business unit goals and customer needs.
- Design and execute hands-on creation of 3D prototypes utilizing rapid prototyping: 3D printing, foam, paper board, clay, steel, cast materials, etc, to communicate form and function.
- Contribute ideas on new products, product improvements, and design processes.
- Regularly review project plans, schedules, expenditures, and priorities to ensure goals are being met.
- Regularly interface with engineering, marketing, and product management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design required
- 2-5 years experience in Industrial Design required
- A design portfolio must be submitted for consideration
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Flexibility to meet changing project demands
- Knowledge and experience with ethnographic research practices preferred
- An interest in problem solving and incorporating user needs into new product solutions
- 3D modeling proficiency: Fusion 360 or Solidworks preferred
- Rendering / sketching software: Adobe Suite, Procreate, KeyShot, Sketchbook Pro
