To that end, we use our outstanding skills and experiences to create solutions to some of the world's hardest engineering problems every day.In your role as at Level-4 Mechanical Engineer, you will be a member of a team engaged in the development of tactical sUAS and related accessories. Your primary responsibilities will include the design, analysis, and integration of innovative mechanical systems, structures, and hardware associated with sUAS. You will be expected to have and apply a deep understanding of principles related to mechanical structures, aerodynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer, vibrations, and similar topics. You will contribute to quality and reliability by participating in peer reviews, creating clear documentation, anticipating and addressing potential issues, and supporting our onsite production team. You will also have the opportunity to lead project efforts and represent the organization as technical contact for projects and contracts.In addition to functioning as an individual contributor, you will be expected to assist in mentoring and training team members and advising them on technical matters.Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited program
- Related professional experienceDesired skills- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited program in Engineering or related discipline
- 9 years of proven professional experience; or 7 years of proven professional experience with a related Master's degree
- Ability to assume ownership of complex tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently, and help others to do the same
- Deep understanding and proven application of principles of system dynamics and aeronautics
- Proven experience in any of the following:
+FEA and CFD analysis
+Vibrational Analysis
+Injection Molding
+Additive Manufacturing
-Significant experience with and comfort modeling in CAD systems (Creo, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Ability to effectively navigate within Product Data Management (PDM) software to maintain proper engineering documentation
- Comfort following agile development principles and methodologies
- Experience with sUAS
- Strong written, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience interfacing with military customers
