- Developing and monitoring policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Setting up administrator and service accounts
- Maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
- Maintaining availability of instrumentation data network and instrumentation data center.
- Collecting and reporting system data metrics.
- Ensuring systems adhere to program configuration and data management plans.
- Providing software maintenance and installing software upgrades and patches.
- Maintaining active licenses, maintenance contracts and warrantees.
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.
- Experience with VMware virtual networking, VMware Horizon 8, VMware vSphere 8 and/or VMware Data Storage administration.
- Previous cybersecurity, Information Assurance experience, and/or system administration experience.
- Active Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification.
- Active VMware Certified Professional Data Center Virtualization certification (VCP-DCV).
- Understanding of enterprise-level computing platforms involving virtualization, distribution, and high availability.
- Experience implementing storage allocation, reclamation, replication, and migration.
- Knowledge of various storage systems VNX/Unity/XTREMIO.
