- Lead and coach the security operations engineering team, applying critical thinking to understand new and emerging threats and working with cyber threat intelligence and threat modeling sources; build and execute required action plans.
- Collaborate with other teams to design and implement robust security architectures for systems, networks, and applications while considering factors such as scalability, reliability, and compliance requirements.
- Plan, organize, and oversee cybersecurity projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Operationalize future Information Security implementations with guidance from the Director of Global Security Operations.
- Act as an operational subject matter expert between corporate Information Security and the company's various lines of business in the development and enforcement of appropriate policies, standards, frameworks, and tools.
- Mentor and guide the team, cultivating a sense of security awareness and arranging for continuous education.
- Work with Information Security Directors to facilitate tabletop exercises, security drills, and pen tests.
- Manage risk remediation tools and protocols to ensure issues are mitigated, risks are accounted for, and exceptions are tracked in accordance with the company's frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Lead the optimization of systems that perform network monitoring and intrusion detection analyses using various computer network defense tools, such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, host-based security systems, etc.
- Constructively engage business partners regarding cybersecurity issues, including providing quarterly updates to the Information Security Executive Committee.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- At least 10 years' experience building and leading high performing operational teams in complex environments.
- Between 6-10 years of security operations, security information and event management, , security monitoring, and risk-based alerting experience.
- Information security experience working with advanced threat detection and remediation desired.
- Strong ability to convey complex information risk and security issues in a manner that is easily understood and actionable and constructively challenges prevailing thoughts and processes.
- Sound judgment, a sense of urgency, and a commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service, and business integrity.
- Approximately 10% travel may be required to support the position's responsibilities.
- Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for yourself and a team to meet requirements and deadlines.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally.
