- Promotes effective working relationships and works effectively as part of a department/unit teaching inter- and intra-departmentally to facilitate the department's/unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Works side-by-side with staff in clinical settings to evaluate individual and group performance during critical situations. Collaborates with ED, OB, Medical-Surgical, and ICU leadership to develop necessary PI activities.
- Provides continuing two-way communication throughout the organization by listening and participating in face-to-face dialogue with employees in meetings, regular rounding throughout the departments, and escalating key findings to appropriate leadership.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation for education provided to staff.
- Develops and implements department specific education (such as OB, Pediatrics, ED, and ICU) ensuring active participation during the education sessions.
- Actively pursues new developments in ED/OB/pediatric/critical care nursing and participates in activities that promote professional growth and development.
- Collaborates with trauma coordinator, ICU, OB, and ED leadership to present critical care/trauma-specific education as needed.
- Collaborates to develop and align high performance education programs for the clinical staff, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- Serves as a role model and mentor for all clinical staff while following up with the new staff and preceptors to ensure all department education requirements and competencies are being met and validated.
- Assumes all other duties and responsibilities, as necessary.
0 years: Instructor for the following classes preferred: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
2 years: Demonstrated proficiency in critical care nursing, knowledge, and skills with a minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience.Licences & certifications Certification ACLS
