utility projects. The Engineering Designer will work closely under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, contributing to engineering calculations,
drafting, and coordination of multiple engineering disciplines. This role requires a knowledge of engineering principles, relevant design software
such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit, as well as strong communication, technical writing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of multiple construction plans for transportation projects.
- These duties will be performed under the supervision of a senior project engineer or project manager.
- Performs work which involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment.
- Assignments ususally include engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawing and specifications, and assistance with proposal preparation.
- Helps to coordinate work of mulitiple engineering disciplines, as well as drafting/CADD work for the project.
- Assists in preparing progress reports and may supervise small projects.
- Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer is preferred.
- Candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a self-motivated dynamic individual.
- North Carolina PE certification preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program
- Proficiency in required design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good communication and technical writing skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Ability to maintain required certifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
