Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to join our rapidly expanding wage and hour employment law practice group. This is a plug-and-play position requiring a seasoned professional who can immediately contribute to our complex litigation cases. Our senior paralegals function at a high level, often serving as quasi-brief writers and taking on substantial responsibilities in case management and legal research.About Our FirmOur firm is a leading plaintiff-side employment law practice representing employees in class actions, collective actions, and individual wage and hour disputes. Our practice group includes approximately 15 attorneys handling complex cases nationwide. We maintain offices in California, Texas, and Illinois.Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Handle all aspects of complex wage and hour litigation from filing through appeals
  • Court Filings: Manage federal and state court filings across multiple jurisdictions
  • Appeals Support: Assist with appellate briefs, record preparation, and appeals process coordination
  • Attorney Admissions: Coordinate pro hac vice admissions for attorneys in various states and courts
  • Legal Research: Conduct comprehensive research and perform cite-checking for briefs and motions
  • Document Drafting: Prepare and edit legal documents, often contributing paragraphs to briefs
  • Table of Authorities: Create and maintain tables of authorities for complex briefs
  • Administrative Support: Provide high-level administrative support including scheduling, correspondence, and client communication
  • Mentorship: May assist in training junior staff and paralegals
Required Qualifications
  • Extensive wage and hour experience including FLSA, state wage laws, class actions, and collective actions
  • Complex case handling from inception through resolution, including appeals
  • Multi-state filing experience with knowledge of various state and federal court requirements
  • Appeals process knowledge including record preparation and appellate procedures
  • Strong research skills with ability to conduct legal research and cite-checking
  • Federal and state court filing experience across multiple jurisdictions
  • Proficiency with legal research databases (Westlaw, LexisNexis, etc.)
  • Document management and case organization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with pro hac vice admission processes
  • Knowledge of class action and collective action procedures
  • Experience supporting appellate work
  • Familiarity with employment law practice management software
  • Previous experience in plaintiff-side employment litigation

Position Details
  • Employment Type: Full-time, W-2 employee
  • Schedule: Standard business hours with occasional overtime as needed
  • Location: Remote position available
  • Reporting: Reports to Senior Paralegal Manager and Practice Group Partner

Our senior paralegals are highly skilled professionals who take on substantial responsibilities typically reserved for attorneys. You'll work closely with our litigation team on complex cases and have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to case strategy and outcomes.
