- Utilize EMR, Clearinghouses, and other billing software to verify patient information, file claims, review EOB’s, investigate denied claims, and submit reconsideration requests.
- Process billing transactions for rehabilitation services, including but not limited to physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
- Generate and submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor claim status, investigate and resolve unpaid/denied claims.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and address issues with rejected claims.
- Investigating Claims, identifying errors, appealing denials, and communicating with various parties to achieve resolution.
- Collaborate with other departments and insurance companies to ensure accurate, timely billing reimbursement.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare billing regulations and coding guidelines.
- Ability to answer phones, and assist patients with billing related questions and concerns.
- The ability to quickly adapt to changes in tasks, and special projects.
Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during
working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written
communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all
