
Legal Operations Assistant

- Communicate with the Legal team, outside counsel, and third-party vendors on legal matters, third-party vendor risk assessments, and payment of invoices.
- Collaborate with other internal partners on legal matters, projects, issue resolution, and company-wide programs.
- Provide general administrative support to the Legal department including organizing travel and submitting expense reports, onboarding new employees, distributing mail and shipping, and supply ordering.
- Calendaring and scheduling meetings for some leaders within the Legal department, back-up calendaring support for Administrative Assistant.
- Manage legal matters in the matter management platform, maintain relevant legal documents following corporate record retention policies.
- Draft, proofread and maintain corporate, legal and governance documents.
- Create best-practice documents and checklists. Ensure global alignment on projects and process improvements.
- Follow practices for invoice payments with collaboration from Accounts Payable and Finance teams.
- Become proficient and leverage our technologies including Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), e-billing/matter management platform, and SAP.
- Collaborate with the team on maintaining existing technologies like our e-billing platform, Teams sites, and SharePoint.
- Create and run reporting to provide relevant insights to the Legal Operations team, Legal department, and OGC leadership.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- 3+ years of experience in a support capacity, and minimum 2+ years of experience supporting leadership.
- Experience in a corporate legal department or in a law firm or is not needed but welcomed.
- Experience balancing multiple competing demands, and demonstrate excellent customer/client service and response
- Experience leading improvement efforts.
- Comfortable using technology to guide team productivity.
- Demonstrated capability to work on multiple types of activities at any one time.
