Responsible for leading, developing, and implementing a Cardiovascular Services strategic expense management program for a multi-facility integrated delivery network (IDN). Includes reviewing and optimizing GPO contract portfolio, product standardization, collaboration with HealthTrust contracting, sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and building strategic alliances with stakeholders.Core Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead expense management strategy for cardiovascular services across facilities.
- Analyze data, make strategic recommendations, and execute purchased services savings initiatives.
- Develop and implement system-wide cardiovascular savings opportunities, policies, and product standardization.
- Participate in Regional Value Analysis Teams and coordinate with GPO National and Custom Contracting Teams.
- Negotiate custom contracts and provide education on expense management program.
- Build effective relationships with facility leadership, HealthTrust, Supply Chain, and corporate stakeholders.
- Establish and meet expense savings goals.
- Track and analyze cardiovascular supply expenses.
- Provide cost-saving strategies with HealthTrust contracting and Expense Management teams.
- Develop standardized documents, processes, and calculations to quantify savings solutions.
- Direct multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, planning, and execution.
- Manage complex project plans with deliverables and timelines.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 7 years in a healthcare-related role directly aligned to duties listed
- Previous experience in supply chain, value analysis, purchased services, or sourcing in cardiovascular service line
- Successful project management with measurable deliverables
- Advanced computer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Graduate degree
- Software skills with data warehouse and/or Micro Strategies
