The Director of Analytics, Insights and Market Research - US has responsibility for leading the strategy and execution of the data analytics design, acquisition/partnership, warehousing, mining and translation to commercial uptake, business reporting and insights for a pipeline asset for a rare orphan respiratory disease in the US. Additionally, this role would have oversight and management of all market research projects for the brand. This role will be a vital leader on INOVIO’s brand commercial launch team on whom the team will depend onto ensure that we have a strong analytics strategy and execution in place to measure the business performance of our launch asset and ensure market research is done in collaboration with capable external vendors and managed to garner the insights that are needed for the asset.The Director ensures that the asset analytics plan will result in robust, timely and cost-effective commercial analytics for the brand upon launch and that all market research results in impactful insights. This position will need to collaborate extensively cross functionally within INOVIO and externally with vendors. The Director must be able to work independently with minimum guidance from the Senior Director while being able to influence cross functional partners and senior management.Essential job functions and duties
  • Designs the optimal data analytics strategy for the asset taking into consideration the unique data considerations of a rare disease asset. Determines the acquisitions and partnerships needed to achieve the data analytics strategy and drives and/or contributes to the contracting efforts needed to acquire the data streams, collaborates with VP Commercial Affairs. Defines and executes the data warehousing strategy in concert with IT.
  • Mine and translate the data into meaningful reporting on commercial uptake, business reporting and insights.
  • Selection and management of strategically aligned vendor partners for market research initiatives.
  • Oversee and manage asset market research projects.
  • Provides clear timelines for asset launch project management and keeps project on track timewise.
  • Develops and presents to leadership for the successful implementation and measurement of these plans. Prioritizes and manages work to ensure resources are focused on key initiatives.
Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA, MIS or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in healthcare, with at least 4 – 6 years of US commercial/business analytics experience is a must, some market research experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a range of Business Analytics and Market Research functions is a plus
  • Rare/Orphan or Specialty Disease experience is strongly preferred

The annualized base salary range for this role is $180,000 to $210,000 and is bonus eligible.
