Title: QA Engineer (Catalog Domain Services)
Location: Dallas Hybrid 3 days/week
Duration: 6+ months Contract
Compensation: $45-50/hr.

We are hiring a QA Engineer for the Catalog Domain Services team to validate services powering product and content management within our retail eCommerce ecosystem. The team builds foundational services used by multiple systems, managing product attributes, media, and definitions across digital channels.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct functional manual testing and API/UI integration testing of catalog-related services
  • Validate service integrations that manage product definitions, attributes, content, and media
  • Develop test automation using Selenium, Playwright, or other Java-based testing tools
  • Perform API/service-level testing with tools like Postman and Rest Assured
  • Build mock services for isolated testing of microservices using Mockito or similar
  • Test integrations with upstream/downstream systems, queues, batch files, and cloud services
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to define and execute test plans based on complex domain models
  • Maintain traceability and defect tracking via JIRA Test Management
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of QA experience with a strong emphasis on eCommerce catalogs, product content, or retail data domains
  • Proven ability to test and validate backend catalog services with complex attribute/content configurations
  • Deep understanding of API/microservice architecture and testing best practices
  • Familiarity with tools like Postman, Rest Assured, Mockito, and automation frameworks
  • Hands-on experience in testing system integrations, batch processes, and cloud platforms
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with a detail-oriented mindset
