We are currently seeking a Shipping Clerk for our Pittsburgh, PA location. The hours for the role are 8:30am – 5pm.Position Overview:We are currently seeking a Shipping Clerk for first shift position in our Shipping department.Responsibilities:
  • Prepare all packaging for any small parcel shipments, including international parcel shipments. Record and deliver information needed for International parcel shipments to International Logistics Coordinator.
  • Monitor IFS Shipping Tile for Shipments and same day add ons for shipment.
  • Print and Pull sales orders / parts, pieces when Material control is unavailable to pull.
  • Complete shipment using UPS, FedEx, and IFS, and recording Tracking numbers.
  • Review Stock from backlog for available shipments (lower priority to be cleared through sales department)
  • Review and order all free shipping materials from UPS and FedEx.
  • Review and turn in all other shipping supplies needed for Parcel shipments to Team Leader for Purchase Requisition.
  • When all parcel shipments are completed/or when Freight packaging is needed Parcel clerk to complete any task that a Freight Packager is responsible for.
  • Monitor and respond to any Benshaw inquiry when requested through email. Investigation must be completed or given to Team leader when investigation becomes difficult. 15 Min investigation until escalation
  • Export IFS Complete Shipments Available Tile at end of Day for open orders not shipped and supply reason for missed shipment(s)
  • Clean and Organize area daily.
  • Responsible for offloading, visual inspection, and signing of BOL/delivery receipt of receivables, after Receiving personnel leave for the day. Visual inspection for any shipping damage which needs to be marked on delivery receipt before signing and returning to driver. This process will be if Freight Packager is unavailable.
  • When all tasks are completed, actively seek new assignments from Logistics Coordinator or management.
  • These responsibilities serve as a guideline of work to be completed, further activities may be assigned or requested at management discretion.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • HS diploma/GED
  • Previous experience in shipping, and experience with job duties listed above
  • Experience with shipping systems
  • Comfortable operating a computer and utilizing a variety of programs
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion throughout a shift.
