As a DevOps Software Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming software delivery building automation pipelines, optimizing infrastructure, and streamlining development processes to support secure, scalable, and efficient systems.Application Process: Interested candidates should submit their resume detailing their qualifications and experience.Security Clearance Requirements:This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.** Poly must be updated within the last 6 years.ResponsibilitiesThe Software Engineer will be responsible for DevOps activities such as:Manage and optimize tools for development, deployment, and integrated testingBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support continuous integration and deliveryIdentify manual processes and implement automation solutions across the lifecycleSelect and deploy modern DevOps tools and frameworksCollaborate with developers, testers, and system engineers to integrate functions across the product lifecycleEnsure system improvements align with security standards and infrastructure integrityTroubleshoot and resolve issues in virtualized and containerized environmentsParticipate in Agile ceremonies and support quarterly PI Planning sessions (short-duration travel may be required)QualificationsBasic QualificationsLevel 0:No demonstrated experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.Level 1:Seven (7) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.Level 2:Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.Level 3:Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.5+ years of experience managing DevOps tools and CI/CD frameworksStrong system administration background (Windows and Linux)Proficiency in scripting languages: Java, Groovy, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Batch, JavaScript, AngularJSExperience with IDEs: Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, WebStorm, RhapsodyFamiliarity with source control and configuration management toolsHands-on experience with VM management and container-based platformsStrong understanding of software development principles and automation best practicesExcellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a teamWillingness to learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL ServerWeb UI development experience using AngularJS, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLTFamiliarity with Spring Framework and modern web architecturesExperience with Scrum or SAFe Agile methodologies; SAFe Agilist Certification a plusAbility to plan and prioritize tasks that align with sprint goalsAbout WOODFringe Benefits:
