Licensed Practical Nurse - Youth Corrections

- Schedule: 12s, various schedules, part-time or per diem
- Higher pay available for travelers located 50+ miles from the facility
- Employment Type: Contract
- Active AZ LPN license (in good standing)
- At least 1 year of LPN experience
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to pass a strict background check
- Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper dosages for adolescent patients
- Monitor and document vital signs while assessing youth for any signs of distress or illness
- Provide wound care and first aid for injuries common in a juvenile facility
- Assist with chronic condition management, such as asthma, diabetes, and mental health concerns
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care until higher-level support arrives
- Educate youth on health, hygiene, and wellness to promote positive habits
- Collaborate with behavioral health teams to address emotional and psychological needs
- Ensure infection control and hygiene standards in a communal living environment
- Support youth in adjusting to medical routines in a structured facility setting
- Maintain documentation and communicate health updates with RNs, facility staff, and guardians as needed
