JOB SUMMARY
Requires basic knowledge of shipping/receiving, stockroom functions and shop floor controls.
Position requires someone who is willing and able to support varied material control functions.Specific Tasks may include: check incoming material and prioritize items per Planning's request.
Issue Kits for assembly, fill back orders, move material between work centers/departments and Finished assemblies to inspection.Coordinator may be required to make pick-ups and deliveries using company vehicle.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
" Assist with reports and other projects.
" Delivers Backorders and kits to appropriate work centers.
" Responsible for tracking of material as assigned by Planning.
" Delivers shippers along with accompanying outgoing material to shipping area for
Outside process and return to vendor.
" Review and prepares paperwork for outside packaging.
" Maintain and orders all floor-stock items.
" Provide general logistics support to manufacturing floor (e.g. processing material requisitions, sub-assembly paperwork closure, material relocation, etc.)
" Perform other tasks as assigned.Required SkillsLANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to communicate in English. Ability to write neatly and use telephone effectively.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Job mostly requires basic math skills. Occasional need to calculate percentages.Required ExperienceEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and / or of 2 years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with handling precision machine parts, metal finishes and assemblies. Experience with computerized receiving systems and /or experience with computerized inventory system, within a manufacturing environment. Hands-on computer experience.
