The Manufacturing Engineer designs, builds, and maintains assembly tooling, processes, and assembly line layouts for current & new products, focusing on maximizing space and efficiency. Collaborates with other teams to ensure design of process and product supports quality and manufacturability requirements. Dynamically solves problems to drive production throughput to meet goals and ensure team and organizational success.Requirements of the Manufacturing Engineer
- Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering required.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred.
- Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
- Proficiency in Solidworks and Microsoft Office.
- Experience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software.

- Create tooling specifications, design, prototype, and build production fixturing for existing and planned production lines as well as misc. R&D activities.
- Complete Root Cause Analysis on production issues and quickly implement short and long-term solutions to address issues.
- Develop, maintain, and train on ISO SOPs for specific certification criteria on machines, semi-automated and automated processes within standard assembly line procedures, and NPI programs.
- Design, create, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes using lean tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kanban systems, and visual controls.
- Generate and build line layouts within planned timeframes for New Product Introductions.
- Assemble and disassemble production optics using production tooling and processes.
