From creating more intuitive matchmaking algorithms and developing intelligent agents that guide users on their journey, to developing strategic agents to help aid our top-notch support team in supporting and helping our users, your work will have a direct and profound impact on our global user base.Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:As the AI Team Lead, you will be a player-coach, guiding a talented team of 1-2 Agent Engineers and Data Scientists while also rolling up your sleeves to contribute to the code. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and Mentoring: Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the AI team. Guide the professional growth of your team members, providing both technical and career mentorship.
  • Project and Technical Leadership: Develop and execute the AI strategy, aligning it with our company's goals and product roadmap. You will oversee the end-to-end machine learning and/or Agentic solution development lifecycle, from ideation and project planning to deployment and monitoring in production.
  • Hands-On Development: This isn't just a management role. We're looking for a leader who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. You will be expected to actively participate in the development process, architecting and coding important modules and providing technical guidance to solve complex challenges.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product Leads, software engineers, and designers to identify and prioritize AI-driven features and improvements. You will be responsible for clearly communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Staying Ahead of the Curve: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in AI, particularly in Agentic LLMs, and evaluate their potential application to our products.
Requirements:
This role requires a unique blend of leadership, project management, and deep technical expertise. The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:Must-Haves:
  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Software Development Background: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong command of coding fundamentals (in Python), system design, and software architecture.
  • Team Leadership Experience: 2+ years of experience in a management or team lead role, directly managing a team of technical staff such as software engineers, data scientists, or machine learning engineers.
  • Machine Learning Proficiency: Demonstrable hands-on experience with modern ML and data science toolkits, including proficiency in Python and its core data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and ML frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage technical projects from conception to completion, define a strategic roadmap, and guide a team to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • LLM Solution Delivery: Direct experience developing or integrating solutions using the leading Large Language Models (LLMs) and building agentic AI systems.
  • AI Driven Execution Workflow: Experience with using the latest AI tools such as coding assistants to help build and execute AI and Agentic solutions at breakneck speeds.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • An advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field.
  • Experience with cloud-based ML platforms and infrastructure (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform, Azure Machine Learning).
  • Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools for CI/CD, model monitoring, and data versioning.
  • Experience with deploying solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment at a consumer-facing product company.
